Chronne Rogers 

Co Director/Founder of CT C.R.U.S.H. Basketball

With over 33 years of coaching experience, Chronne Rogers has dedicated his life to developing young athletes across Connecticut, using basketball as a tool to teach discipline, teamwork, and leadership. His coaching journey began in 1992 as an assistant coach under Antonio Neisler for the JBA All-Stars, sparking a lifelong commitment to youth basketball. Over the years, Chronne has held coaching positions at several high schools, including Wilton High School, Darien High School, and Norwalk High School, where he served as a Head Freshman Coach, Head Junior Varsity Coach, and mentor to countless players. He also contributed to Notre Dame of Fairfield’s Girls Basketball Team as an Assistant Coach, expanding his impact to young female athletes. Known for his ability to inspire and build confidence in his players, Chronne consistently prioritized their growth both on and off the court.

Beyond high school basketball, Chronne made a significant impact in AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball, working with various programs such as T.M.T Basketball, Connecticut Elite, GameChangers Basketball, PHD Basketball, M.A.D Hoops and United Youth Basketball. His involvement also extended to coaching several travel teams in towns such as Wilton, Norwalk, New Canaan, and Westport, where he continued to mold players from diverse backgrounds. As the Co-Director of CT C.R.U.S.H., he is instrumental in providing young athletes opportunities for high-level competition while emphasizing academic success. Throughout his career, Chronne has remained dedicated to leaving a lasting impact on every player he coaches, helping them develop the skills, character, and confidence needed to succeed in basketball and life. His legacy as a coach and mentor continues to influence generations of young athletes throughout Connecticut.

Marcel Henneghan

Co Director/Founder of CT C.R.U.S.H. Basketball

Born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut, Marcel developed a passion for basketball at an early age, beginning his competitive journey in the Goodfellas Alliance Summer Basketball League, led by Fred Franklin. It was there that Marcel’s natural talent and love for the game began to take shape. He later continued his development in The Norwalk JBA (Junior Basketball Association), where he played under the guidance of Coach John Newton, further honing his skills and understanding of the game. Marcel’s basketball career extended beyond Connecticut when he moved to Coward South Carolina, where he gained valuable experience competing in AAU basketball. His athletic ability also earned him the opportunity to become a two-sport athlete at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, where he balanced his time between basketball and football, showcasing his dedication and versatility as an athlete.

Marcel’s deep-rooted connection to the game eventually led him to an assistant head coach for the GameChangers of Norwalk followed by a head coaching position in the Norwalk Jr. Basketball program, led by Dakari Eason. This opportunity allowed him to give back to the community and help young athletes achieve their potential. His leadership and commitment to youth basketball paved the way for him to become the Co-Director of CT C.R.U.S.H., an AAU basketball program whose mission is create leaders on and off the court. In this role, Marcel plays an instrumental part in mentoring and developing young athletes, emphasizing Commitment, Resilience, Unity, Strength and Honor. His experiences as a player and coach have allowed him to connect with athletes from all walks of life, and he remains dedicated to preparing the next generation for success in basketball and beyond. Marcel’s journey, from a young kid playing in Norwalk to a respected coach and mentor, reflects his unwavering passion for the game and his commitment to making a positive impact in his community.
